ROOTEDam is focused on building our students’ biblical knowledge and showing them ways to apply it to their everyday life. We meet every Sunday morning 9:45am - 10:45am.

ROOTED 2/4 meets the second and fourth Sundays from 5:00-7:00pm. We snack, play games, and join in small group discussions led by adult volunteers who are invested in supporting students as they develop a faith that is uniquely their own. Our hope is that these groups will become strong and supportive communities for our students both within and outside of the church setting.

CONFIRMATION provides students with an opportunity to explore their faith, learn key Biblical principles, and discover what it means to be a United Methodist. Sixth graders (and older students) have the opportunity to go through the Confirmation journey, learning what it means to be responsible for their own faith and ultimately claim their faith as their own. We meet the first and third Sundays from 5:00pm -7:00pm October-April.

EVENTS - ROOTED students have many opportunities to enjoy a wide array of activities such as tailgates, multi-church youth events, holiday celebrations, back-to-school activities, wet & wild games, fun-filled competitions, and more.

ROOTED  Student Ministry exists to create a space where 6-12 grade students can

BELIEVE           BELONG          BE LOVED          BE ACCEPTED

We are a space where youth from different ages, races, orientations, and backgrounds can come together and make their faith their own in a loving and grace-filled environment.

Ash Lane UMC recognizes the importance of these pivotal years for our students. Middle school and high school years come with triumphs and challenges, and we want to be there for students and families at every turn.

Each summer our youth join other youth and adults from throughout North Texas at a UM Army mission camp.  We build wheelchair ramps, do home repairs, clear brush, do lawn work, paint, volunteer in food banks- all to meet the needs of low-income, disabled, and elderly homeowners who are physically or financially unable to do the work themselves.

UM Army’s mission is to provide Christ-centered missions that serve people in need and promote spiritual growth and leadership development in youth and young adults. Students who have completed 6th-12th grades are invited to be a part of our mission camp the last week of June. We fundraise throughout the year to pay for the trip.

All staff and volunteers have completed our rigorous MinistrySafe process to safeguard your student's welfare.
